Alexis Mac Allister – 7 – Made a lovely through ball from midfield for Salah, whose shot was saved early on and then played with great energy, giving Liverpool’s midfield the edge of the visitors.
Ryan Gravenberch – 8 – Continuing his high standards. He play with a dynamic and aggressive style of play, and was one of Liverpool’s driving forces in midfield, as well as finding the back of the net from distance on occasion.
Luis Diaz – 9
One of the best games ever. Confident, quality and missed a couple of chances at the start but scored two brilliant goals. The first with great vision, caught the ball and got past Kepa Arrizabalaga and the second with a sharp shot past the keeper.
Dominik Szoboszlai – 7 – Had an impeccable performance. But didn’t have a particularly good game and was eventually the first to be substituted.
Mohamed Salah – 7 – First strike from a beautiful pass from Mac Allister saved Kepa’s hand. He had few chances to finish himself throughout the game, but he did have an assist and a pass to Nunez to make it 3-0.
Darwin Nunez – 7
The first chance he had, he turned and locked in to shoot with his left foot straight at Kepa in the 15th minute. Then he dealt with the next opportunity brilliantly, closing the score in the 37th minute when he darted up the right and locked in to shoot with his left foot beautifully, making the score 3-0.
